Don't forget to vote today! I found myself telling everyone I saw, remember if you don't vote then you can't complain about your elected officials. That always get a different look on someone's face. I even called my grown children and asked did you vote? One said no and admitted she was very irresponsible for not voting. I sternly said you are right so go and vote next time.
Elections are very important and they remind me of a news cast I saw last year after the elections in Iraq. They were interviewing several people and came to a couple. Their statement was that they had children so they each went to the voting pole alone just incase one of them were killed so the other could care for the children. STOP and think about that statement. They were willing to risk their very own life to vote!! One of my coworkers came back to work this afternoon and was asked did you vote, he said no because the line was to long. What a contrast!! One willing to risk his life to vote in Iraq and another did not have time to wait in line to vote in America. And we wonder why we have so many problems in America. We are no longer willing to sacrifice for what we believe in. It is kind of like today people are complaining about how much gas cost ( and we are at war ) but during WW II gas was rationed and people did not complain, but rather they were glad to sacrifice their comforts to make sure our military had what they needed to win the war.
We just don't get.
Jesus said, " Put others before yourself "
God Bless America, Please!
